It's a start

BRCRC is all about community. It's about ensuring that everyone in our community has the resources they need to lead vibrant, satisfying and fulfilled lives. But it's more than that - it's about acknowledging that life isn't always the way we want it to me and sometimes, we can't manage on our own. We need information, advice, or access to programs and services so that we don't suffer from poverty, poor health, or isolation. It's about recognizing that we're all in this together.

How can you help?

There's an old saying that I tell my kids on Saturdays when it's time to clean the house: many hands make light work. This work takes a lot of hands!

The staff and volunteers can do a lot - and we're always looking for new volunteers, especially drivers. If you've got some spare time, a car, and a good driving record, we'd like to talk to you!

Fancy something more physically challenging? We also need folks to help the Woodchucks chop wood. And if you would like to help fight food insecurity, then volunteering with Food For Thought could be just he right fit.

And maybe what you have isn't time but money. Sustaining our programs comes at a cost - the cost to feed the average family of four through Food For Thought is $1200. We served almost 100 families this winter heating season and our Fuel Fund needs to be replenished. And our Community Navigators are always looking for contributions to help them help folks get back on their feet. Donations are the water of life for this work - this is what keeps our doors open the work ongoing.

Breanna is waiting to hear from you!
